I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
